Nunca voy a olvidar ese día que la maestra en tercer grado de primaria nos hizo caminar al patio de la escuela con nuestro caleidoscopio en la mano. No sabía en ese momento lo que estabamos haciendo, para mi era solo un tubo hecho de cartón con tres espejos y un fondo de muchos vidrios rotos de colores. La maestra nos llevo a un lugar en donde pegaba el sol y nos dijo “ahora tomen su tubo y dirijanlo hacia la luz del sol”. ¡Fue un momento mágico! De prónto estos vidrios que a primera vista solo eran piezas rotas, al reflejarse en esos tres espejos dentro del tubo empezaron a formar las figuras más hermosas, únicas e inigualables que jamas había visto en mi vida! y cada que movía ese caleidoscopio las piezas rotas se acomodaban para dar vida a el más hermoso y perfecto juego de luz, de colores y de figuras.

 

Hoy despues de 36 años de ese día con una vida llena de experiencias duras, de aprendizaje, de retos, de dolor y miles de piezas “rotas” ese día  mágico a mis 10 años de edad se ha convertido en mi más grande enseñanza.

 

Nuestras vidas son así, como un caleidoscopio! Nuestras piezas “rotas” a simple vista pueden hacer de ella, una vida vacía, insatisfecha, ordinaria e infeliz…pero si dejamos que los rayos de luz entren en nuestro interior y las iluminen; ese reto, ese dolor, esa pérdida, esa enfermedad, esos mismos vidrios rotos, pueden transformarse a través de la luz en el juego más hermoso de color, de figuras y de mágia. Cada pieza rota dentro de nuestras vidas es indispensable para formarlas. Todos tenemos nuestro momento, esas situaciones difíciles tienen un peso en nuestro camino.

 

Esta solo es una invitación a que levanten su cara y vean el cielo, a que dejen sentir en su interior los rayos de luz… TODOS tenemos la capacidad de dirigir nuestro caleidoscopio a donde brilla más, hay personas que jamás se darán cuenta de la belleza y perfección en sus vidas, que seguirán viendo solo piezas rotas; esta es ahora mi misión en la vida y el principal motivo por lo que me convertí en Life Coach, quiero ayudar a que las personas se den cuenta que si dirigimos nuestra mirada hacía el cielo podemos encontrar en nuestras piezas rotas e imperfectas el mejor juego de figuras y colores. 

 

Hoy cuando la vida me sorprende con un nuevo reto, siempre recuerdo que lo unico que tengo que hacer es caminar a donde brille más el sol y dejar que llene esa experiencia de luz.

Kaleidoscope: The Beauty of Broken Pieces

I will never forget that day the third-grade teacher had us walk to the schoolyard with our kaleidoscope in hand. I didn't know at the time what we were doing; for me, it was just a tube made of cardboard with three mirrors and a background of many-colored broken glass. The teacher took us to a place where the sun was shining, and she told us, “now take your tube and direct it towards the sunlight.” It was a magical moment! Suddenly these glasses that at first sight were only broken pieces, when reflected in those three mirrors inside the tube, began to form the most beautiful, unique, and incomparable figures that I had ever seen in my life! And each time we moved that kaleidoscope, the broken pieces fit together to give life to the most beautiful and perfect play of light, colors, and figures.

 

Today after 36 years of that day with a life full of challenging experiences, learning lessons, pain, and thousands of "broken" pieces, that magical day at ten years of age has become my most excellent teaching.

 

Our lives are like this, like a kaleidoscope! Our "broken" pieces at first glance can make it an empty, unsatisfied, ordinary, and unhappy life... but if we let the rays of light enter our interior and illuminate them; that challenge, that pain, that loss, that illness, those same broken glasses, can be transformed through the light into the most beautiful experience, figures, and magic. Each fractured piece within our lives is indispensable in making us who we are. We all have our moments; those difficult circumstances have weighed on our path 

 

This is just an invitation to look up to the sky and let the light rays feel inside you... WE ALL can direct our kaleidoscope to where it shines the most; some people will never realize the beauty and perfection in their lives and will continue to see only broken pieces; this is now my mission in life and the main reason why I became a Life Coach. I want to help people realize that if we turn our eyes to the sky to where there is the light, we can find beauty even in our broken lives.

 

Today when life surprises me with a new challenge, I always remember that all I have to do is walk where the sun shines the most and let it fill that experience with light.
